01 Oct Google + for Your Business
Google Places is transitioning to G+ Local. Uh-oh – now more of us have to figure out how to use Google Plus, as it will have a tangible impact on the web for local businesses.
Currently about 25 percent of the more than 2.5 billion daily Google searches are locally focused. Creating an effective presence on G+ is now critical to the success of your business.
Professional service providers might be content to simply create a G+ page, but G+ Local can’t be ignored.
Businesses currently listed in Google Places have been transitioned to Google+ Local, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to sit back and do nothing. There are new opportunities offered that can help your company’s success.
What can you do to boost your presence?
Plot your business. If your business was not listed on Google Places and therefore not on Google+ Local, you are missing out on potential clients.
Get listed. Building a Google+ page can help prospective clients to more easily find you.
Testimonials. We all know that client reviews help credibility. From an SEO standpoint, even the number of reviews – positive OR negative – will greatly improve search performance.
Always examine your message. If certain terms, descriptions, or product titles aren’t generating the response you had hoped you can examine, reexamine, tweak, and refine. This is the web – everything happens in real time.
