19 Nov Making the Most of Your Facebook Cover
Facebook page timelines offer great features for your business, including the ability to pin and highlight posts, add your company’s milestones, and monitor engagement with page insights.
But it’s the cover image that makes the first impression. Are you leveraging this visual to make the right statement for your business?
If you’re using your cover image as an ad, you’re doing it wrong. You’re also violating Facebook’s policy! It should be a visually appealing image that tells a story about your business. Do not include calls to action, contact information or pricing / incentives.
How about the size? Is your image 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels tall? If it is a regular-sized photo it will stretch and distort, which doesn’t look very professional.
Don’t forget that your profile photo fits into the cover image. If you’re really creative you can incorporate it into the overall picture so they work together. Some examples can be seen here.
