17 Sep Gen Y Digging Modular Concept Homes
Builder Online showcases one of the country’s largest producers of factory-built housing, who is now reaching out to Gen Y with a demo house designed to suit their specific interests and lifestyles.
Clayton Homes’ 1,200-square-foot Concept House was built to respond to the special demands of these young buyers aged 19 to 37. Learning the preferences of this demographic is key, as they are known for embracing individuality and modern design.
Gen Y doesn’t want to sprawl in a McMansion. They crave small floorplans designed to provide a feeling of roominess with flexible spaces, built-in storage, and functional features like a recharging station for electronics.
Another crucial selling point for this design is its affordability. Today’s first time buyers can be strapped for cash and do not want to be saddled by debt.
The Concept House is not available for purchase, but the millennial-targeted options called Smart Points are available as optional upgrades.
